CLIENT WEBSITE GUIDE
Plan an AI assistant your client can use
By SiteChirp · Updated September 23, 2026
A website assistant should help visitors find reliable business information and reach the right person. It needs a defined scope, approved knowledge, and clear limits. SiteChirp provides AI-assistant capabilities with assisted setup for client websites.
Start with a small set of useful questions
Use questions visitors actually ask: what services are offered, where the business operates, when it is open, and how to request an appointment or estimate. Keep source information current and identify who can approve changes.
Make uncertainty visible
Define what the assistant should do when it has no approved answer. A useful fallback offers the business contact channel or a request form. It should not claim an appointment is booked or a message is delivered unless the connected system confirms that action.
Collect only what the inquiry needs
For a callback, a name, contact channel, and short description may be enough. Agree visitor privacy information, access responsibilities, and retention before collecting personal information. Do not ask visitors to put payment-card details in chat.
Design human handoff
Choose who handles an inquiry and how the visitor reaches that person. Booking links, notifications, and other integrations must be configured and tested for the client. An assistant demo is not evidence that a live connection has been set up.
Test before client approval
Test common questions, ambiguous requests, incorrect assumptions, and requests outside scope. Check that business facts stay accurate, unavailable actions are not promised, and a visitor can reach a person. AI answers can be wrong, so keep a review process after launch.
Understand the SiteChirp demo
The public SiteChirp assistant uses preset responses to illustrate a visitor journey. A purchased website’s AI configuration is a separate delivery step. Confirm the included features, usage limits, and any extra integrations for the selected plan.
